Sceneslow returns with a splendid ascent towards lucid dream lands, one even more rapturous than the one found on October 9. Hazily expanding in open spaces located anywhere between folk, ambient, shoegazer psychedelia and electronics, Sceneslow's style seems to drift more in the direction of ecstatic abstraction this time around, but somehow never losing touch with the earthly contours of, well... real, intimate, heartfelt music. The production is obsessively crafted and fine tuned, the songwriting is ambitious and even epic (without ever coming close to being bombastic or melodramatic), the inspired use of piano and guitars is alchemic... and the voice is as elegant and entrancing as a cat lazily stretching in the morning sun, knowing itself to be a humble prince of Creation. A damned beautiful shiver from beginning to end.
