Wicked Mark Chapman takes his cues from people as diverse as John Barth, Wolf Eyes and early Residents, and pays subversive homage to infamous psycopaths and social disasters of the 20th century. University Goat offers a disconcerting catalogue of short circuits, both aural and conceptual; often dissonant, sometimes strangely tuneful, the tracks here collected travel a rough and haphazard terrain, jumping with surreal logic between completely incompatible soundworlds, and achieving a scarred grace and sinister logic not often found in this world... nor the next one.
